What is Advanced Hypnotherapy?
Advanced Hypnotherapy is Psychotherapy that uses the natural, relaxed state of hypnosis to access the subconscious part of your mind. It is only through the subconscious mind that one can create positive and lasting changes. If you want to overcome self-limiting thoughts, feelings, or behaviours, your subconscious mind is a powerful tool in creating that change.
Through Advanced Hypnotherapy, Jennifer guides you to towards the root cause of the problem. It is only once you have a full understanding of where the problem began that you can move forward and gain control over your emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and physical wellbeing.
During Advanced Hypnotherapy you will be able to intensely concentrate and focus with your powerful subconscious mind on a specific thought, memory, feeling, or sensation. The healing power of the subconscious mind can be directed toward specific areas of the body or to a particular emotional imbalance for permanent healing.
Emotion and Trauma
The brain is divided into two parts:
1) the conscious mind – which only accounts for 12% of the brain.
2) the subconscious mind – which accounts for the other 88% of the brain.
Many of the feelings and emotions that we experience as adults are routed in events, memories, or things that we learned as children. These events, memories, and cognitions are typically stored in our subconscious mind, since its mechanisms are responsible for long-term memory. When something traumatic occurs, we repress the negative memories and feelings associated with the event in our subconscious mind. We push these memories and feelings ‘under the rug’ as a necessary means to survival. However, these memories and negative feelings can grow very strong over time. When someone comes across something (e.g., a person, a smell, etc.) that reminds their subconscious mind of the traumatic event, the negative emotion can become magnified, even if we are not consciously aware of being reminded of the event! These negative feelings and memories may be the actual cause of different physical and emotional impairments.
